Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney & Probate

Making a Will is essential when dealing with your affairs. Having a Will is having peace of mind that any property, possession and assets are dealt with to your instructions. We can provide advice on all aspects of making a Will and how it will affect anyone dealing with your estate or benefiting from a gift.

We are also happy to advise on any aspect of Lasting Powers of Attorney and registration.

Similarly, we can provide assistance for those dealing with an estate and seeking to obtain a Grant of Probate. We recognise that this can be a very difficult time and assure our clients that their matter is dealt with on a personal level by one solicitor. Our experienced solicitors will be able to advise on every aspect of a probate matter or dealing with an estate. Our charges for dealing with an estate are £250 plus VAT per hour of work on the matter. The cost for an average estate (for example a house, two bank accounts and personal items) is approximately £1500 plus or, being four hours work. As will all matters dealt with at Baker Macdonald, we take an individual approach to each of our clients and adjust our charges accordingly.

We encourage our clients to meet with their solicitor in person to discuss any of these matters and can do so either at our local offices or by appointment at your home.
